Personal Background

I have thirty years of architectural office experience, and am principal of Design For Preservation. My education includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art History, five years School of Architecture, University of Minnesota. For 16 years I was a partner in the architectural firm Roark Kramer Roscoe Design. My practice is primarily devoted to residential new construction and rehabilitation, with an emphasis on historic preservation.

My historic preservation experience includes serving for 21 years on theMinneapolis Heritage Preservation Commission and editor (from 1985 toearly 2000) of the Minnesota Preservationist, a newsletter published by the Preservation Alliance of Minnesota. I currently write on historic
preservation topics for Architecture Minnesota, published by the MinnesotaChapter of the American Institute of Architects.
